3 tips to better self-love this new year : North carolina boudoir photographer
Confidence doesn’t just show up one day.
It’s built—bit by bit, breath by breath.
And self-love? It’s not just a concept. It’s a practice.
A muscle. A daily decision to return to yourself, even when the world tells you not to.
At The Boudoir Studio, we don’t just talk about self-love—we live it. Every photo session, every intimacy coaching moment, every tear that falls in front of the camera is part of a bigger reclamation: the journey back to your body, your voice, your power.
In this post, I’m sharing simple, soulful self-love exercises and real confidence tips you can use to feel more grounded, more sensual, and more you. Whether you're rebuilding trust with your reflection, trying to feel sexy again, or just figuring out how to stop abandoning yourself—this is a beautiful place to begin.
Because you don’t have to earn your confidence.
You just have to come back to it.
I really love creating a pattern in my life that is positive + feeds positivity into my life, and I know others do too! In my work with all partners + individuals, one of the things that keep lasting happy relationships is pointing them in the direction + of assisting them of creating and sustaining patterns that solidify their love + keep them connected.
Here is an idea of a pattern to create in your life that you might like to add to your own repertoire.
Remember, I am always going on and on and on about the power of mental focus, mindfulness, and affirmations, self-talk neuroplasticity in changing our brains so that new outcomes emerge. The power of positive vibes is real!
Step 1
Each day, when you get up, take out your journal, phone, tablet, paper, and pen-- or however you like to express yourself-- and write down THREE THINGS that you are thankful for.
Now, to do this well, tune into where you are when you awaken.
What were your dreams about?
What happened before you went to sleep?
Moments before you woke up?
How you felt going to bed?how you felt when you opened your eyes?
What energy you fed to your brain in thefirst moments of the new day.
Step 2
Then write a positive intention for the day in the form of an Affirmation.
“Today I (your name) am living my best life yet.”
Or “Today I (your name) focus on my joy.”
Or “Today I (your name) let my eros explode with my lover and….”
“I am strong + valuable + today I will take up the space i deserve”
You get the drift, right?
If you do this daily, in a relationship with a partner or just with yourself, your life is going to change.
It’s going to be better than you ever imagined. Affirmations are tricky. You want to state the positive, using your own first name, in the present as though whatever you are longing to have, be or do is already DONE!
Third: Create a vision board!
