Different types of Photography Releases : North Carolina Erotica Boudoir Photographer

Youre photos are private but lets talk about what a release means in the photography world. For the photographer & for you , the client. These are definitely questions I am asked often and find myself trying to explain so I figured lets sit down and walk through it together !

The Different types of releases you can sign for your photographer :

i’m always asked the question , will my photographs be shared everywhere? I really want them to be private is that a problem? Will the whole world see my photos? no no they will not be shared anywhere, well unless you want them to be!

Here at the boudoir studio no ones photos are shared without this magical thing called a release.
in each contract there is a section going over the multiple types of photographic releases you can choose from.

1. NO RELEASE.
that means the photos are taken your online gallery is made for proofing but wheb all orders are made and delivered the photos are deleted and no one ever sees them again unless you share them!

This is the ultimate provacy and theres always the option of even taking it further and doing an in person viewing with no online gallery so your photos never touch the internet.

2.LIMITED RIGHTS - IN PERSON
where many of my cluents choose to allow me to share their images in person within my studio but never online. meaning i can use them for studio samples and wall art but not marketing material or online sharing !

3.LIMITED IMAGE RIGHTS
this is where my clients select any image they are okay with me using for marketing material or in person etc.

Then we have the most awesome and easy one
4. the ANONYMOUS RELEASE
. its pretty self explainatory but this release means i am able to use any photo that doesnt show faces abd identifying features. many of my erotica photography clients choose this release so i am still able to share gorgeous images from their session but not ones that they would be identified in.

The last but not least at all but most of all and you know my favorite

5.The FULL RELEASE.
This is where you are like brii, you created such gorgeousness and art that there is no way i wouldnt want to share it all with the world and so you allow me to share your images in all the ways!

No matter what you choose your experience is yours & i dont even know what release youve chosen til after th session so it effects your in experience in absolutely no way.

I give no incentive or decentive to signing a full release, i dont want my clients to feel pressured in any way to share images they may want to keep private and I take their privacy to heart.
Whether your images are shared no where or in the privacy of your home i know the magic we create together will be cherished and drooled over and thats all that matters.

Photo releases from the photographer to the client

1. Print Release
This is the most commen release that you see, in most cases when purchasing your digital images from a photographer the photographer will grant you a print release. This means you may use the photos to be printed anywhere you’d like ( or sometimes specific to places the photographer allows) The images are yours to have albums/wall art etc made of on your own accord. This does not how ever give you online rights or commercial rights.

2. Commercial Release
This release will usually cost more with your photographer. This release allows you to sell the images that the photographer has created. Whether that is putting them in a magazine, selling them on only fans, putting them in a contest, using them for business purposes or in the way to make money at all requires this type of release

3. Proof Only -
Proof only typically means a release where you are sent a gallery of your images with a clear and blunt watermark over them in order to choose your purchases or your favorites. This gallery is not legally able to be screenshotted/shared or distributed.

4. Online/Social Media Release
This release allows you to use your images on social media. Your profile photo, cover photo share with frends whatever. without this release you are not legally supposed to post your images online.

As for me, when my clients purchase digital images they recieve an online/ social media release and a printing release. Neither of these releases or any releases give a client the authority or right to alter/filter/change their images in any way.
